Musicovery - interactive web-radio

December 6, 2007 – 12:33 pm

I came across Musicovery a few days ago through StumbleUpon, now I know most of you have used it or least heard about it, but I still wanted to shed some light on the topic for those who like me have been in space for the past couple of years.

Musicovery is a cool web application that lets you explore the virtual world of music. It lets you browse through the huge archive of titles from all times by selecting mood, style, genre, decade and much more.

Every time you select a new preference the application plays a new song. Songs are linked together in a pipe like fashion making up an endless play list of songs based on the preferences you selected. Genres are color coded making the application fun and interesting to use. You can also manually select which songs you want to play just by clicking on them.

If you have a good internet connection there is usually no lag whilst using this interactive radio, so your experience is rarely ever interrupted.

The only drawback I could find whilst using this application is that all songs are played in a lo-fi format, although you could get better quality music by paying for a paid subscription. Although the price is quite reasonable I’m sticking with the free version for now.

Please let us know what you think about this cool application by commenting below.
